Enzo Firewall is a DBMS Authentication, Authorization and Access Control (AAA) solution that simplifies compliance initiatives. With Enzo Firewall your corporation can segment database traffic to specific machines, users and/or applications.

In addition Enzo Firewall allows you to detect unauthorized database access by sending alerts through Syslog, SMTP (email) or ODBC.

Flexible Deployment
Many corporations face the challenge of rigid deployment architectures. Hundreds of even thousands of geographically dispersed client machines and handheld devices are configured to connect to a specific database server. This makes it very difficult to upgrade database servers on new hardware, implement a hot backup environment without significant downtime and consider database consolidation projects.

Acting as a proxy server without requiring client-side agents, Enzo DB Firewall 2006 allows flexible database infrastructure deployments. Since all the clients connect through Enzo, changing the connection parameters of Enzo instantly redirects all clients to their new database server destination, enabling rapid database reconfiguration projects.

Monitoring
From an operational and security standpoint, knowing who is connecting at any point in time can become critical. How many times have we heard "but who is connecting, and from where?"

Enzo Server keeps a running log of successful and unsuccessful connection attempts for later reporting and integrates with Syslog for Enterprise integration. Enzo's logs can be searched and analyzed for historical connectivity information.
